Oval Biedermeier extendable table with 5 inlay leaves from South Germany, circa 1880.
- Cherry wood veneer and solid wood.
- Ebonized edge, leg tips, and decorative band on the tabletop.
- 6 conical square tapered legs made of solid cherry wood.
- 5 extension leaves, each approximately 49.5 cm, veneered in cherry wood, added during restoration.
- Hand-polished shellac finish.
- Good, previously restored condition with slight signs of wear.
- Upon purchase, it can be polished again, and the ebonized parts can be re-ebonized with shellac.
- Extends to approximately 385 cm / 151.57 in, seating up to 18 people.
