Oval Biedermeier extendable table with 5 inlay leaves from South Germany, circa 1880.

  • Cherry wood veneer and solid wood.
  • Ebonized edge, leg tips, and decorative band on the tabletop.
  • 6 conical square tapered legs made of solid cherry wood.
  • 5 extension leaves, each approximately 49.5 cm, veneered in cherry wood, added during restoration.
  • Hand-polished shellac finish.
  • Good, previously restored condition with slight signs of wear.
  • Upon purchase, it can be polished again, and the ebonized parts can be re-ebonized with shellac.
  • Extends to approximately 385 cm / 151.57 in, seating up to 18 people.
